We ran a Marathon Relay last Saturday where 5 of us each ran 5.2 miles to add up to a marathon distance. Overall our team did pretty well. Below are the results:
Team Results
Time: 3:33:56
Overall place: 12th
(out of 54 teams)
Category place: 2nd (1 minute 39 seconds behind 1st place)
Individual Times
Tim - 35:12
Michelle - 52:00
Steve - 48:23
Jeremy - 41:00
Danny - 36:57
So basically if I had run as fast as Tim we would have won our category. Sorry team, I let you down.
Overall we had a good time. Thanks everyone for giving your best and cheering each other on.

For those of you who check our blog occasionally, I just wanted to let you know we are still here. We have been busy lately, and we haven't taken the time to sit down and post on our blog. Michelle recently started up school again. She started a Masters in Dietetics a couple years ago, but stopped when she had Brandon. She decided to try again to make a push to get her Master's degree.
I have been working on starting my own small business on the side. King Analytics is officially in business. I haven't had any official clients yet, but I just got my business license in the mail on Saturday. You can check out my website at http://www.kinganalytics.com. The site is still a work in progress as is the company, but I am excited about it.
The boys have been busy finding slugs and other fun things in our backyard (see pictures). Anna has been busy learning how to crawl (see video below). She is a full on crawler now. She moves pretty fast too. She gets from one end of the room to the other pretty quick if she sees something she wants. The boys have been finding out that their train tracks and cars are no longer safe on the ground when Anna is in the room. So all in all, we are doing OK. We will see if we can remember to post a little more often.
Brandon's pet slug.
Here is Anna crawling with DJ wanting to get in the video.

It has been a while since we posted. Earlier this month we went to a family reunion at Circle K Ranch in Colorado. It was lots of fun. The mountains were beautiful, the weather was nice and overall it was a pretty good trip. DJ got a little sick one of the nights, but he seemed to be ok most of the time. We went on hikes, threw rocks into the river, tried to catch some fish, and we went to the 4th of July Parade and Fireworks in Rico a town nearby. It is a small town, but they had some pretty good fireworks.
DJ is pretty excited about arriving at Circle K
Brandon sitting in the grass with the lodge in the background
DJ swinging at the piñata on the 4th of July
Brenda sitting in the back of the van with the boys for fireworks (yes it was cold at the fireworks show)

What a trip. Last week Michelle and I took Anna to Washington DC for Steve's wedding. We stayed another couple of days and toured the city a bit. Really we needed a couple of weeks to see everything that we wanted to, but we did our best at cramming in as much as possible. DJ and Brandon stayed home with Molly. They seemed to fine for her which was a relief. Anna was great on the trip. She was very good for everything we did. Overall it was a very good trip. Washington DC has a lot of history and it was interesting to see all of the buildings and memorials.

I just paid $3.999 per gallon of gas today. Can you believe it? Luckily I don't have a long commute to work every day so I don't go through much gas. This is the first time filling up my gas tank for nearly three weeks I think. I tried riding my bike to work the other day, but I got there and was sweaty, and felt gross all day, so I don't know if that option will work out unless I can figure out a way to freshen up better when I get there. Plus it adds about 15-20 minutes to my commute each way. Now days I am trying to figure out how to go green out of necessity.

Through the years our kids have liked to be wrapped up in their blankets burrito style. We have taken pictures of each of them wrapped up so I decided to put them all together into one to compare them. When I first decided to do this I thought they were closer in age, but Brandon is quite a bit older than the other when his picture was taken. They are cute little kids. You may need to click on the picture to get a bigger image to see it in more detail.

Anna continues to smile a lot. We finally caught a couple smile on camera. In the picture you can't see the outfit she has on, but it says, "Nobody's perfect...but me." She looked so sassy in it. I hope she turns out to be a perfect little girl, but I hope she isn't so sassy about it.

Happy Mother's day. Yesterday the boys and I went and got a flower pot and some flowers. We planted the flowers in the pot and put it on our front porch for Michelle. The boys were so proud of themselves. Then today the boys helped me put together a card for Michelle and we made french toast and put a roast in the crock pot. It was a pretty good day I think.
Anna sure loves her mommy. Today at church Michelle had to go help with Primary music time so I got to hold Anna. Well she wasn't too happy about that. She wanted her mommy. It didn't help that she was hungry. She cried for several minutes until Michelle was done. As soon as Michelle had her in her arms she immediately stopped crying. What a funny little girl!

Today was Anna's first day at church. We dressed her up and she was a cute little princess. She is growing up fast. She has been showing us her cute little smile a lot lately. Of course every time we get the camera out to take a picture of it she stops smiling. One of these days we will get her smile on camera and post it. She is a cutie.

I don't even want to talk about the Suns today, it is too embarassing to be a Suns fan after the game last night. So let's talk about DJ, Brandon, and Anna. It is still as fun as ever being their dad. They are fun kids.
